Mary Ruth Montez

59, of Martinsville, passed away on November 17, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Mary was born on August 3, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Gerald Estelle and Juanita (Wray) Estelle.

Mary worked in accounting as a billing coordinator for IDS for many years, until her health would no longer allow. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was known as “Mom” to so many of her children’s friends. She also enjoyed camping in southern Indiana and soaking up the sunshine in Daytona Beach, Florida. She will be remembered for her outspoken personality but will dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Russell “Butch” Estelle and a sister Melody Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Saul Montez; daughter Sarah Sparks; son Josh Kidwell; brothers Virgil “Buddy” Estelle, Terry Estelle; sister Penny Kidwell; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, all of whom she adored.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Mary’s life on Wednesday, November 30th from 5-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
