Max "Jim" Floyd

Max “Jim” Floyd, 69, Mooresville, died peacefully at home on April 10, 2012. Mr. Floyd was born December 4, 1942, in Linton, Indiana.

Jim graduated from Manuel High School and worked for the Allison Division of General Motors for 31 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1992. He was a faithful and devoted member of Gasburg Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max James Floyd, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris (Oldham) Floyd, to whom he was united in marriage November 22, 1962; mother, Julia (Barnard) Floyd; daughters, Rhonda Wilkinson (Jeff) of Ohio and Lorie Dillon (Kyle) of Mooresville; son, Eric Floyd (Jennifer) of Mooresville; sister, Janet Spencer (Ray Wilson) of Ohio; grandchildren, Terah Adams, Ty Dillon, Brandon Wilkinson, Tiffani Dillon, Trea Dillon, Logan Floyd, Stevie Verhey, Shawn Verhey, and Hunter Floyd; great grandchildren, Keegan Adams and Jolie Adams.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012, at Gasburg Baptist Church, 900 N. Gasburg Rd., Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
