Ray Rogers, 64, Mooresville, died July 1, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor. Ray was born December 27, 1947, in Balkan, Kentucky, to the late Leslie P. and Pearl (Engle) Rogers.

Ray was a welder at Service Products for 25 years and later worked for Safeway Cleaning Company. He attended the Mooresville Church of God and enjoyed crafts and woodworking. Ray also mowed lawns and liked spending time on his riding lawn mower.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Claude F. Rogers and a sister, Jo Ann Wilson.

Survivors include one sister, Betty Leath of Mooresville; one niece, Mary Lynn Leath of Mooresville; nephews, Leon Wilson (Connie), Gary Wilson (Mary Jane), LeRoy Wilson (Gina), and Christopher Lee Rogers and his wife; a host of great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 12 Noon. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooresville Church of God or to the Morgan County Humane Society.
