Richard Lee Brock

Richard Lee Brock, 67, Mooresville, passed away August 16, 2021. Dick was born May 14, 1954, in Marion County, to the late Robert Lee Brock and Joyce (Groover) Brock.

He graduated from Monrovia High School in 1972 and attended Purdue University. Dick worked as a mechanic for Collins Datsun Nissan early on. He devoted more than 25 years working for Hines Bindery, where he was the shop foreman. An avid outdoorsman, Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting trap. Simply put – he loved the outdoors. His hunting dogs were hugely important to him and it has been said that he took better care of his dogs than himself! Karli, Max, and Ben were his beloved dogs that spent lots of time in the outdoors with Dick. He was a member of the Nastra Bird Dog Association, Cloverdale Conservation Club, Amo Bird Dog Club, and the Cloverdale Beagle Dog Club. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends for his kindness, generosity, and friendly spirit.

Survivors include two children, Keith Alan (Angie) Brock and Lynn Ann (David) Steward and their granny, Martha Brock; brothers, Donald (Sara) Brock, Dean (Nena) Brock; grandchildren, Shelby, Luke, Shania; Anthony, Alisha, Drew, and Andrea; great grandchildren, Kingsley and Nova; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dick’s Life Celebration® visitation and funeral service will be held at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2021, 4 to 8 p.m., with the service beginning at 10 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2021. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
