Robert H. Andersen, 77, Morgan County, died January 12, 2015, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Andersen was born July 28, 1937, in Douglas County, Nebraska, to the late Hans Andersen and Helen (Petersen) Christopherson.
He graduated from Benson High School in Nebraska and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked as an air traffic controller for more than 20 years before beginning a career as an independent agent for Farmers Insurance. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Andersen enjoyed golf, gardening, fishing, hunting, and playing softball during his younger years. He was a member of the Cloverdale American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Beverley J. (Anderson) Andersen, to whom he was united in marriage October 17, 1959; children, Denise Griffin (Rodney) of Monrovia, Dane Andersen of Mooresville, David Andersen (Rhonda) of Quincy, and Deanna Monnin (Vince) of Arcanum, Ohio; brother, Donald Andersen (Jean) of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Jerry, Jesse, Shelby, Taylor, Breegan, Will, Morgan, and Zoe; great grandchildren, Alex and Seth.
The funeral service will begin at 10:30, a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015. Burial will be in the Clayton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
