Robert Wayne Allen Jr.

Robert Wayne 'Bobby' Allen, Jr., 63, Mooresville, died in a house fire on May 17, 2012. Mr. Allen was born on November 1, 1948, in Alliance, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Decatur Central High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. In addition, Bobby was active in the Indiana National Guard for more than 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post Number 103 and a lifemember of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111. He retired from the Indiana Department of Corrections, Plainfield, in 2005, after 26 years of service. Bobby never knew a stranger and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenna (Goncer) Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Marie (Jenkins) Allen, to whom he was united in marriage December 7, 2007; father, Robert Wayne Allen, Sr. (Joyce); children, Dustin, Shane, and Amanda Allen, Lacrisa and Anthony; siblings, Kathy Schweitzer, Tony Allen, Carol Sue Stahl, Nancy Towel, and Lloyd Allen; step-children, Timothy Young and William West; six grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2012, at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2012.
