Ruby Alexander

Ruby Alexander, 83, Indianapolis, died January 20, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mrs. Alexander was born December 7, 1928, in Foxtown, Kentucky, to the late Albert and Martha (Lainhart) Fox.

She retired from Kiefer-Stewart Pharmaceuticals and was a faithful member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. Mrs. Alexander also enjoyed ceramics and attending craft fairs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Alexander; son, Gary N. Simpson; sister, Lula St. John.

Survivors include one son, Steve Simpson (Judy) of Greenwood; brothers, George Fox of Camby and Jay Fox of Martinsville; grandchildren, Jennifer Hoffman, Steven Simpson, Jr., Michelle Greathouse, and Gary Wayne Simpson; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2012.
