Russell B. Flowers
89 of Plainfield, passed away on April 7, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family. Russell was born on February 24, 1933, in Frogue, Kentucky to the late Bradley Leo Flowers and Winnie Gordon (Craft) Flowers.

Russell proudly and honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He returned home to find work as a supervisor for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Russell enjoyed being with family and being outdoors. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting. He and his wife Debra have a cabin and houseboat on Dale Hallow Lake where they enjoyed many wonderful years together on the lake. He will be remembered for his strong morals, his honesty, and his kindness.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son Steve Flowers, siblings Welby, Fred, Regina, Justina, Frank, and Glen.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra (Warriner) Flowers; sons Jeff Flowers, Greg Flowers; brother Gayle Flowers; sister Virginia Shrader; grandchildren Colton, Steve, Melissa, Samantha, and many great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Russell’s life on Wednesday, April 13th from 5-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 3:00pm (EDT) in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Burkesville, Kentucky.
