Ruth Ann (Eastes) Adams Simpson

Ruth Ann (Eastes) Adams Simpson, 82, of Mooresville passed away on Sunday, December 08, 2019. She was born October 21, 1937, in Bridgeport, Indiana to the late Ivie Ray and Martha Louise (Bowman) Eastes. Ruth graduated from Martinsville High School in 1956.

She worked at Diamond Chain in Indianapolis where she met her husband, Joseph “Joe” Adams, Jr. She married Joe September 7, 1958. Joe passed away February 12, 2006. Ruth was also an aide at Brookside Elementary School for 20 years. On December 10, 2011, Ruth married William Simpson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Adams, Jr.; brother-in-law, Jim Adams, John Adams, Tom McFadden, Jerry Strouse, and Don Armstrong; and sister-in-law, Carol Waters and Lois Williams.

Ruth is survived by her husband, William; brother, Robert (Barbara) Eastes; sisters, Pat Strouse and Rosemary Armstrong; sisters-in-law, Mary McFadden, Anne (Phil) Linder, Helen Adams, Pat Mason, and Joyce Mooreman; several nieces and nephews; her cherished cat Joanna; and her caregiver and sister-in-law, Penny Senour.

Visitation will be Thursday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., December 12, 2019 at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Service will begin at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
