Ruth Ann Robinson

Ruth Ann Robinson, 73, Mooresville, died August 11, 2012, in I.U. Health Methodist. Ruth Ann was born August 31, 1938, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Ellis H. and Margaret A. (Jones) Robinson.

Ms. Robinson was a 1956 graduate of Mooresville High School. She worked for 40 years for the State of Indiana Department of Workforce Development, retiring in 2003. Ruth Ann was a 59-year member of the First Christian Church in Mooresville, where she served as an Elder, teacher of the Pebbles Class, and served on the membership and World Outreach Committee. She also volunteered at Churches in Mission. Ruth Ann attended the Bible Fellowship Study in Greenwood for ten years and was an avid studier of the Bible. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters in Mooresville. She also loved working with children and the church’s Vacation Bible School and taking trips with her fellow church members.

In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Harold Robinson.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret Y. Myers (Arthur) of Corydon; brothers, Joseph E. Robinson (Rene) of Georgia and Marcus M. Robinson (Viola) of Florida; a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather on Friday, August 17, 2012, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012, in the First Christian Church, 525 N. Indiana St., Mooresville. The committal service will follow in New Veale Creek Cemetery, Washington, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
