Ruth Hook Curts

Ruth A. Hook Curts, 84, Mooresville, died October 13, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Mooresville. Ruth was born December 19, 1927, in Harlan County, Nebraska, to the late Behrend “Ben” and Gertrude (MacArthur) Fecht.

She graduated from Huntley High School in Nebraska. Ruth worked for a number of years in the mortgage lending business for Railroadman’s and more recently for North Salem State Bank. She was an active member of The Church at Mt. Gilead. Ruth was an excellent cook and loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by her loved ones and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie R. Hook.

Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Curts; children, Marcia Reyman (Larry) of Plainfield, Marlin Hook (Brenda) of Mooresville and Marie Stanley (Ray) of Mooresville; brothers, Don and Ben Fecht, both of Nebraska; sister, Margaret Johnson of Colorado; grandchildren, Cory Reynolds, Eric Reynolds, Dustin Stanley, Adam Hook, Jonathan Stanley, Angela West, and Raymond Stanley; great grandchildren, Grant West, Madison Stanley and Charlotte Reynolds and a favorite Yorkie, Annie.

Friends and family will gather for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 18, 2012, in the funeral home. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery.
