Sue Carolyn DeBruler
79, of Mooresville, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Sue was born on June 13, 1941 in Monrovia IN to the late Susan A. (Tandy) and Alonzo Jaggers, Sr.

A lifelong resident of Morgan County, Sue graduated from Monrovia High School in 1960. Strong in her faith, she come to know the Lord and was saved at age 17 in the Harmony Baptist Church. She attended Gasburg Baptist and most recently Mooresville First Baptist Church. She was a hardworking, on the go, mother who raised four children on her own, often working two and three jobs to make ends meet. Sue worked in the deli for IGA, Kroger’s and most recently was a cake decorator at Marsh Supermarkets in Mooresville. Additionally, she loved kids and often babysat for many families in the area.

Despite working several jobs, she always made time for her family. Those strong family bonds were made even stronger at family reunions. Many wonderful memories made during those family reunions of swimming at the pond, shooting off fireworks and fishing with family will be cherished.

Always on the go, she enjoyed going to all the races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, from the Indy 500 to the Brickyard 400 to the Moto GP as well as traveling all around the country, especially to the beaches in the Carolina’s and Florida, where she loved watching the beautiful sunsets. She also enjoyed bird watching and collected bird figurines.

After a stroke took much of her mobility away, she didn’t let that stop her from being on the go. She wore out three different sets of tires on her wheelchair during her stay in the nursing homes. Her loving, kind heart who was always willing to help someone out in need will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. DeBruler; brother Alonzo Jaggers, Jr; sisters Barbara Schrader, Joyce Fay and a stepson Danny DeBruler.
