Virginia E. Archer

Virginia E. Archer, 87, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away at home on November 11, 2022. Virginia was born in Martin County, Indiana on August 13, 1935, to the late Howard and Geneva Roach. She married Wayne Archer, the love of her life on December 29, 1956.

Virginia was a faithful member of the Waverly United Methodist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved baking for the Boy Scouts and cooking for church events. Virginia was a giver and loved unconditionally. She was the family “cheerleader” and, often times the family “referee”, but always in a loving way.

Virginia is survived by her three children, David W. (Carol) Archer of Bloomington, Steven D. (Mae) Archer of New Whiteland, and Angela K. Naue of Martinsville; 12 grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Matthew, Angel, Jeffery, Jeremy, Jessica, Katie, Alexis, Liam, Jacob and, Rebekah, along with 5 great-grandchildren, Austin, Anthony, Leann, Payton, and Kaylee.

Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband; Wayne Archer and sister; Shirley Wellman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Waverley United Methodist Church, Martinsville, Indiana. A graveside service will immediately follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Waverly.
