Anna Mae White

December 27, 1953 — April 12, 2024

Camby

Anna Mae White, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Camby, Indiana on April 12, 2024. She was born on December 27, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late General Harmon Calton and Lessie (Smith) Calton. Anna will be remembered for her warm and loving personality, always putting family first.

After graduating from Mooresville High School with the class of 1972, Anna dedicated many years of her life working as a bus aide for the Mooresville Pre-School.  She had a passion for helping children and creating a safe and cheerful environment for them to learn and grow.

Anna's love for life extended beyond her work as she enjoyed various hobbies and interests. Whether it was shopping for anything at flea markets or the mall, reading a good book, fishing, taking in the beauty of flowers and trees, or enjoying time away through traveling and cruises.

Among her fondest memories were the times spent fishing with loved ones and taking cruises to relax and see new destinations. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending quality time with her grandson, creating cherished moments that will be forever treasured.

Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence including her husband, Kent White of Camby; daughters, Heather (husband, Eric)  Price of Southport and Amber (husband, Glenn) Day of Yorktown; step-daughters, Heather (husband, Danny) Gomez of Gilbert, Arizona and Amanda White of Pheonix, Arizona; brothers, Larry (wife, Mary) Calton of Indianapolis and Randy (wife, Alice) Calton of Cloverdale; sisters, Ernestine (husband, Arvin) Abrams of Greenwood and Jenny (husband, Keith) Hammons of Greenwood; grandson, Colt Price; and step grandchildren, Issac Gomez and Sloan Gomez.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lessie and General Calton; daughter, Rachel Oliver; and sister, Jewelene McGinnis.
