Betty L. Beasley

June 14, 1930 — July 24, 2022

Betty L. Beasley, 92, Mooresville, passed away July 24, 2022, at Meadow Lakes. Betty was born June 14, 1930, in Mooresville, to the late Virgil and Bessie (Head) Beasley.

She graduated from Mooresville High School. Always a hard worker, Betty worked for State Life Insurance and then Anchor Laboratories, which became Boehringer Ingelheim for many years. Following her retirement, she became an examination proctor for Environmental Management Institute, a job she continued until she suffered a life changing stroke in 2015. Betty was a longtime member of the First Christian Church where she also taught Sunday School to children for years. She enjoyed attending the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir concerts and volunteering as an usher from time to time. A huge animal lover, Betty at one time had thirteen cats and 3 dogs that she capably cared for – she simply loved animals. Betty will be remembered for her natural ability to care for others. Her memory will be cherished by her loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Beasley, James Beasley, Peggy May, and Paul “Bud” Beasley.

Survivors include her daughter, Holly Erickson; niece and nephews, Tony May, Cheryl Grimme, and Doug Beasley; many cousins.

The family is especially grateful to Meadow Lakes and Anew Hospice for the exceptional care for Betty.

Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. Betty’s family will celebrate her life with a meal that will be held in the coming weeks at the Mooresville First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Morgan County Humane Society or to the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.
