Carl V. "Bub" Muncy, Jr.

Carl V. “Bub” Muncy, Jr. 57, Shelbyville, passed away December 12, 2021. He was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Carl Sr., who died in 2013. Carl was born July 7, 1964, in Jeffersonville, to the late Carl V. Muncy Sr. and JoAnn (Smith) Muncy, who survives.

Carl struggled with various health issues during the last several years. He was a faithful companion to his mom though, especially after Carl Sr.’s death. He attended Shelbyville Community Church and was a member of Town & Country Christian Church. Carl was strongly devoted to his family and always looked forward to the next family gathering. He was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed fishing. Bub will be fondly remembered by his loved ones for his kindness and loyalty.

Additional survivors include his sisters, Vicki (David Johnson) Risch, Pam (Mark) Branson, Paula (Phil) Henry; a host of nieces & nephews; great nieces and nephews. Bub was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Taylor and Stella Muncy and maternal grandparents, Flavil and Alice Smith.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Town & Country Christian Church. Services will follow at 12 Noon. Pastor Ian Farnsley will officiate, and burial will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Town & Country Christian Church.
