Clessie M. Holloway
72, of Mooresville, passed away on August 12, 2021 at home. Clessie was born on October 17, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Lorena (Horton) and Raymond Holloway.

After graduating from Manual High School in Indianapolis, Clessie went into the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. After service, he worked for Lilly Industrial Coatings, later Valspar, before retiring. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed working with his hands, working on cars when he was younger and woodworking in more recent years. He loved going to amusement parks, riding roller coasters, and attending fall festivals around Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings Leonard Holloway, Dorman Holloway, Betty Stowe, Helen Hanley, Wanda O’Brien and a granddaughter Renee’ Hostetter.

He is survived by his wife Brenda (Cooper) Holloway; son Mike Holloway (Teddye); daughter Cari Hostetter (Jeff); sisters Nancy Harris, Janet Starr; grandchildren Ezra, Evan, Jennifer, and Shelby.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Clessie’s life on Sunday, August 15th from 2-4pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with memorial services beginning at 4pm Sunday in the funeral home.
