Glenn H. Hardy

March 13, 1933 — June 9, 2022

Glenn H. Hardy, 89, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 9, 2022. Glenn was born to the late Guy & Florence Hardy on March 13, 1933, in Clinton, Indiana. Glenn worked for General Motors as a supervisor for over 38 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a former Scout Master of troop 250 and received the Silver Beaver Award, a Scouting distinguished service award, from the Hoosier Trails Council. Glenn was a long time member of Mt. Gilead Church where he was an Elder and Deacon. He was a founding member of Churches in Mission and volunteered with Maywood Clothe a Child. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, singing, and playing with his grandchildren. Glenn was an avid basketball fan with a special love for I.U. and the Pacers. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and loved the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Cubs. Glenn was always willing to help and serve quietly behind the scenes without ever seeking the glory of his good deeds. Glenn and Rita were faithful to God & church throughout their lives.

Glenn is survived by his children, Tim (Gemma) Hardy, Gary (Cindy) Hardy, Damon Hardy and Julia (Keith) Schultz; grandchildren, Elijah Hardy, Sydney Hardy, Megan (Robert) Whitaker, Caleb (Holly) Hardy, Ethan Hardy, Adam (Ashley) Schultz, Mervin (Erin) Schultz, Aaron Schultz, Danielle (Brett) O’Brien and Matthew (Mackenzie) Hardy; great grandchildren, Morgan, Tenley, Layla, Liam, Penny and Declan.

Glenn was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rita Hardy and brother, David Hardy.
