Irma K. Dunn

Irma K. Dunn of Monrovia passed away on October 19th, 2022. She was born on February 13th, 1934, to William and Noreen (Anderson) Bates.

She attended school in Freedom, Indiana, where she also met her husband and love of her life Robert E. Dunn. They shared a long and happy life until his passing in 2013. She worked on the family farm with Robert and as an administrator for J.C. Penny’s for twenty years.

Irma was a child of God and a long-time member of the Gasburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time there with her family and fellow church members. She was known for avid shopping, reading, baking, and sweet smile.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Dunn, parents William and Noreen Bates, daughters Roberta “Robbie” Gent, Cheryl Dawn Dunn, sister Rita A. Bowman, and grandchild Adam Gent.

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda G. Robison (James), brother William Bates (Ruby), grandchildren Jeremiah Stanner (Tyana), Crissie Terrell (Rocky), and Erin Rumley, twelve great grandchildren Meghin (Tyler), Kya, Garik, Myleigh, Ashton, Zoey, Kaylyn, Adalyn, Alec, Rylan, Waylan, Layla, and one great great grandson Elijah.

Friends and Family will gather to receive visitors at Carlisle Branson Funeral Services, 39 East High Street, Mooresville, Indiana, 46225 on Monday, October 24th, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. presided by Pastor Tim Moran. Burial will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery at 9295 West 21st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234.
