Jack Hobart Wise Sr

Mooresville –Jack Hobart Wise Sr., 88, passed away on July 2nd, 2022, at his home in Mooresville, Indiana.

Born on May 12th, 1934, to Roscoe and Minetta Wise in Danville, IN, Jack graduated from Mooresville High School in 1952. After graduation, he enrolled in the United States Navy where he served for several years.

After leaving the Navy, Jack worked many jobs until his retirement. His personal favorites were as a milkman for the Carmel and Indianapolis areas and delivering recreational vehicles across the country. His favorite though would be when he owned and operated D&M bar and tavern on the southside of Indianapolis for nearly twenty years.

Jack found joy in many simple things like roller skating, the companionship of his dog Bruno, and seeing the country by roadside.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Minetta; his daughter Loretta Harrison; brother Ralph Wise; sisters Miriam Walls and Margaret Cook.

He is survived by his son Jack Wise Jr., and sisters Judy Walls and Donna Kindig.

Friends and family will gather to receive visitors on Sunday July 10th, from 2-4 pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Services & Crematory. Service will be held following at 4pm with cremation to follow.
