James E. Arnold

James E. Arnold, 90, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home October 4, 2021. Mr. Arnold was born January 17, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Maurice and Genevieve (Chesrown) Arnold. He married the love of his life, Patricia Logue Arnold, on November 9, 1948; she preceded him in death in 2004.

He graduated from Ben Davis High School. Early on, Mr. Arnold was the store manager of the Danville Kroger, prior to changing careers. He transitioned to real estate and became the owner of the Century 21 office in Mooresville. He became a certified real estate appraiser and was the owner and operator of Arnold Appraisal Service for more than 30 years, a family business in which his sons have also been involved. Mr. Arnold was a member of Mt. Gilead Church, enjoyed traveling, and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers and the Colts. Jim was a loving, generous, resilient, and selfless provider. His work ethic was second to none. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents and Pat, he was preceded in death; two sons, Michael G. and Jeffrey M. Arnold; brothers, Maurice “Gene” and Alan Arnold.

Survivors include a son, James A. Arnold; daughter, Brenda S. Arnold; grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Daniel, Melissa, Jeremy, Jessica, and Emily; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

Jim’s Life Celebration® visitation will be Sunday, October, 10, 2021, 2 to 5 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.
