JJ Humphrey

Jimmie "JJ" Joe Humphrey, 77, of Mooresville, passed away at home on June 6, 2020. JJ was born on January 10, 1943 in West Lafayette, Indiana to the late Oscar and Rose Humphrey.

JJ was a U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam Veteran. He was also a member of the Indianapolis “500” Oldtimers’ Club with 26 consecutive years spent as a Yellow Shirt working at the track. A faithful, steady, and helpful family member and friend to everyone he knew; JJ was a pleasure to speak to and to know. He will be missed.

He is survived by his partner in life, Patricia Jones with whom he spent 44 wonderful years of his life. Also by Cindy and Roger Stine, Chris and Kim Jones, Tammy and Alan Bugg and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from each.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 13, 2020, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. The service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Mooresville Cemetery.
