Karla Marie Sylvester

Karla Marie Sylvester (82) of Mooresville died on February 18, 2020 . She was proceeded in death by her husband Stanley Sylvester of Manitoba, Canada .

Born in Wolf Point, Montana on November 3, 1937,She was the daughter of the late Gunner and Ethel (Brown) Bertelsen of Martinsville.

She is survived by one brother Jerry Bertelsen (Kit) of Florida and a sister Jean Fisher (Wayne) of Mooresville; her daughter Shelly Long (Micky) of Alpharetta, GA, and sons Alan Messmer (Melissa) and Steve Messmer (Terisa) of Martinsville, five grandchildren Darrell Hamilton, Michael Hamilton, Joshua Messmer, Caleb Messmer and Seth Messmer and four great-grandchildren.

She was also very close to her nieces, Teresa Wamsley, Amy Skinner of Plainfield and Tammy Cooper of Mooresville.

The family is holding a private service.
