Kathryn “Kay” Beasley
79, of Mooresville, passed away on June 8, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Kay was born on April 19, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Jessie (Keller) and Charles Larrison.

Kay grew up on the southwest side of Indianapolis. She was a cheerleader and graduate of Decatur Central High School. After high school, she worked as an inspector for Chevy Truck and Bus for many years, before retirement. “Do best for your family and never be a burden” and “live within your means” were her mottos. She was a strong, independent lady who had strong beliefs and values. She believed in American products and always bought a Chevy. She had a dislike for Fords and foreign cars. If she caught a family or friend driving one, she was quick to let them know about it. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. She enjoyed painting in oils, was an avid IU Basketball fan and loved watching her favorite drivers, Tony Stewart and Kyle Larson race NASCAR. She also loved to travel, but never in a plane or by boat. She and her beloved partner, Norman spent 30 years together, often traveling out west. They enjoyed the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the natural beauty of Utah, Mount Rushmore and many other states. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Linda; brother Kenneth; son Donald Beasley and daughter Laura Kay Livingston.

She is survived by her son Bill Beasley (Tina); beloved partner Norman Hyatt; sisters Virginia, Alice; brother Eddie; 23 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather on Friday, June 11th from 1-3pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. with service beginning at 3:00pm on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in West Newton Cemetery.
