Larry E. Penna

84 of Clayton, passed away on January 15, 2024. Larry was born in Linton, Indiana to the late Paul R. Penna and Priscilla (Michaels) Penna.

After graduating from Linton-Stockton High School, he attended Purdue University. He worked for Terre Haute Malleable for many years. He then worked at Newport Army Ammunition plant and finally retired from the Indiana Department of Corrections Boys School in Plainfield. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine, as well as the Maple Avenue Methodist Church in Terre Haute. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and flying. He even took a turn at skydiving once as a gift from his daughter and son in law. He will be remembered as a kind, generous man, who was a beloved father, brother, grandpa, and friend to all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Katherine Meadows (Bob); brothers Paul Penna (Beatrice) and John Penna (Mary).  

He is survived by his daughters Debra Penna- Fredericks (Mark), Angela Kivett (Steve); grandson Steve Troy II; great grandchildren Steve Troy III, Maddie and many nieces and nephews.
