Mary Beth Brummett

61, of Martinsville, passed away on April 29, 2022. Mary Beth was born in Martinsville on December 16, 1960, to the late Donald and Barbara Scholl. She was the happiest when spending time with her grandchildren. She loved family gatherings and family mealtime. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mom and mamaw. Mary Beth worked as a manager at White Castle for over 14 years and never lost her craving for the “classic” White Castle burger. She spent much of her time watching “True Crime” TV, playing Mahjongg, doing puzzles and coloring.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband of over 28 years; James W. Brummett, children; Jason (Adrian) Morrisey, Joseph (Brittany) Morrisey, Jeremy (Ashlyn) Brummett, Jacob (Veronica) Brummett and stepdaughters; Tonya and Amanda Brummett, grandchildren; Ryder, Landry, Aspyn, Jasper, Charlotte, Joslynn, Lyla, Gracie, Savannah, Eli, Tristen, Skyler and Kobe, stepmother; Carol Scholl, brother; Donnie (Cher) Scholl and sister; Emily (Eddie) Rice.

In addition to her parents, Mary Beth is preceded in death by her stepson; Wayne Brummett and sisters; Vicki (Jim) Shivers and Lynn (Chris) Scholl.

There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled for Mary Beth at a later date.
