Indianapolis, Indiana – Morris D. Miller, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 25, 2023, at Indiana University Methodist Hospital. Morris was born to Frank and Hazel (Reinbold) Miller-Padgett on June 2, 1929, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was 93 years old.

Morris attended Arsenal Tech and IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana and while there, married the love of his life Viola Jean Hearne in 1950. They remained together until her passing in 2012. He left school to serve in the United States Air Force, moving on to work for the Department of Transportation as a real estate appraiser for over thirty years. Morris was also an active member of the Lion’s Club and American Legion.

While Morris had a tough side he also loved to joke around with his friends and family. He could be found most often on the golf course and if not there, playing euchre with anyone who could offer a game.

Morris is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hazel Miller; his beloved wife Viola Miller; and his sons Frank and Russell Miller.

Morris is survived by his son Leslie R. Miller (Patricia); five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Calvary Cemetery Memorial Chapel in Indianapolis, with Father Jude Sahayam presiding.
