Oma J. Bach

Oma J. (Caudill) Bach, 92, Greenwood, formerly of Mooresville, passed away November 29, 2023.  Mrs. Bach was born September 20, 1931, in Eola, Kentucky, to the late Sidney and Ora (Caudill) Caudill.  She married Eugene Bach on September 12, 1950, and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2017. 

Oma attended Pine Mountain Boarding School and graduated from Wheelwright High School.  A talented seamstress, she worked for Madden Furniture before joining Eugene in their family business, Bach’s Upholstery.  They both retired from Madden after many years of hard and dedicated work.  Oma was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening.  Her family was her primary vocation, and she prided herself on being a wonderful grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma.  She and Eugene were also members of the Early Ford V8 Club.  Oma’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving family. 

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Larry Bach, Robert Bach, and Pamela Kern; sister, Billie Jean Renner. 

Survivors include a daughter, Terry (Rick) Locke and a son, Rev. Charles (Patra) Bach; grandchildren, Amanda Beeler, Rebecca Lane, Elizabeth lane, Bryan Bach, Michelle Bach-Dawsey, Thomas Locke, Andrew Locke, Luke Goebel, and Sam Kern; great grandchildren, Tori, Stephen, Katie, Ben, Gwyn, Isaiah, Eli, Becca, Ezra, Leigha, Trevin, Alexis, Aalyah, Jaxon, Addie, Jacque, Michael, Adrian, Gavin, Jenson, Josie, and Jackson; 5 great great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024, 12 Noon to 2 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 East High Street, Mooresville.  The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.  Visit
