Phyllis Marie Ann Ellis, 77, longtime Mooresville resident, passed away October 14, 2021. Mrs. Ellis was born on New Year's Eve in 1943, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to the late Lonnie and Ethel (Wilburn) Abrams.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her passing leaves a significant void for her loving family. She enjoyed cooking, watching Gunsmoke, and took in all kinds of animals, including birds, dogs, and cats. Phyllis was energetic, determined, and never met a stranger – only new friends. She will be fondly remembered for her kind and caring nature.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Garland Lee “Pete” Abrams; brothers, Kenneth, Elwood, Lloyd, Harold “Dick” Abrams; an infant sister, Irene Abrams.
