Rheada Jo Randall

August 20, 1955 — January 16, 2024

Danville

Rheada Jo Randall, 68, a Danville resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in the peaceful setting of The Gathering Together Hospice in Plainfield.  She was born on August 20, 1955 in Danville and is one of thirteen children born to the late Bassie Singleton and Mary Katherleen (Butler) Singleton.

She graduated with the class of 1973 from Cascade High School in Clayton.  She worked for Ascena Retail Group retiring with over 24 years of service.

Her greatest joy in life was her family.  Her favorite people called her “Gram” as she greatly enjoyed being an exceptionally loving grandmother.  She also enjoyed caring for her home and property.  Additionally, she loved music and reading.  She especially enjoyed the Jack Reacher novel series by author, Lee Child.

Rheada will be deeply missed by her family and friends including her daughter, Lori (husband, James) Malone of Cloverdale; and two grandchildren, Ave Malone and Remi Malone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bassie and Mary; and her son, Troy Randall, who she lost 17 years ago with great great sorrow.  The family finds comfort in knowing she is now with him in heaven.

In keeping with Rheada’s wishes, her earthly remains have been cremated.  The family is planning to host a celebration of life at a later date.  Carlilse-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory in Mooresville has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Contributions may be made to The Gathering Together in Rheada’s memory.  The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the folks and ministry of The Gathering Together hospice home.  Contributions may be made online, https://thegatheringtogether.org/donate/ or by mail, 147 N Center St, Plainfield, IN 46168.
