Robert “Robby” Maupin, 62, Mooresville, passed away March 19, 2023, at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville. Robby was born August 13, 1960, in Danville, to the late Bobby Maupin and Anna (Robinson) Maupin.
Robby graduated from Plainfield High School and worked as a sous chef at the former Chez Jean Restaurant for many years. Most recently, he worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Robby was a sports fan through and through. He loved watching sports and keeping up on many different teams, but was especially partial to the Miami Dolphins. His cat, Busy, always knew he had a friend in Robby. He was a very loyal and devoted son to his parents, but his relationship with his mom became even more important after the death of Bobby in 2012. Robby and Anna enjoyed regular trips to the casino in Shelbyville.
Survivors include his mother, Anna Maupin, and his sister, Robin (Steve Morse) DeArth; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Robby’s Life Celebration® visitation and funeral service will be held at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Visitation will be on Monday, March 27, 2023, 4 to 8 p.m., with services beginning at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
