Rodger D. Perdue
74 of Mooresville, passed away on August 24, 2024 at home. Rodger was born on August 28, 1949 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Edgar Perdue and Evelyn (Suttle) Perdue.
Rodger grew up in Morgan County, graduating from Mooresville High School in 1969. Upon graduation, Rodger was drafted to the U.S. Army. Rodger returned home to Mooresville, working at General Shale for 30 years, before retiring. He was a proud veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #103. He enjoyed going to car shows, showing off his ‘68 Camaro and his ’85 Corvette, as well as riding his Harleys over the years. He will be remembered as a hardworking man, who never knew a stranger, and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Most importantly, he was a proud father and grandpa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry W. Perdue.
He is survived by his daughter, Corie Perdue; granddaughter Arianna Dawson; sister-in-law Kay Perdue; nephews Jared Perdue, Brian Perdue, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will greatly miss him.
A Celebration of Rodger’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7th from 1-3pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Memorial services will begin at 3pm Saturday Sept. 7th in the funeral home. Burial of his urn will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery.
