Sharon Lynne Barnett
63, of Morgantown, passed away on September 26, 2021 at Johnson County Hospital. Sharon was born on July 10, 1958 in Martinsville, IN to the late Delores Sue (Bayliff) and Loren Eugene Collins.

Sharon was a strong, independent, and amazing woman, who always put her family and friends first. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In her younger years, she was active in Job’s Daughters and was baptized at Brooklyn Christian Church.
After graduating from Martinsville High School, she worked for Harmon Motive, first as assembly line worker, working her way up to Shop Steward and Union Steward and retired after 35 years of service.

Sharon enjoyed listening to Rod Stewart and Journey and was a proud past president of the Rod Stewart Fan Club. She loved riding scooters with her family, as she enjoyed the sunshine on her face, the wind in her hair and the freedom of the open roads. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Oakley Sims.

She is survived by her husband Patrick Barnett; daughters Jessica (Jay) Gastineau, Heidi (Dylan) Sims; brother Kent Collins; sister Rhonda Collins, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Mason Gastineau, Alexander Gastineau, Sibylla Gastineau, Serenity Sims, Gunner Sims, and Riverleigh Sims.

According to Sharon’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a Celebration of her Life will take place at a later date.
